The Earth Wind & Fire team has been busy. Raku kilns have been built and we’ve performed our first test raku firing.
A special day of raku firing will be held on Saturday 5th September 5th 2009 and promises to be an exciting day of creativity involving earth, wind and fire along with a little bit of water.
Raku kilns are usually a home made affair so with the help a fellow artist Aaron Matthews we set out to make some from some oil drums.
Join us for a Garden Sculpture Workshop in the beautiful Camellia Gardens. The Gardens will provide the inspiration, and the teahouse will include a delicious Devonshire tea.
Something at Mary’s created a ceramic etching as a special thank you for visiting Canadian violist Steve Dann who played in Bundeena recently.
A year has passed since Something at Mary’s pottery studio opened in Bundeena and the studio has had a bit of revamp recently.

This year’s annual Bundeena Maianbar Art of Living festival being held on March 9, 10 & 11, 2008 promises to be it’s best yet and Something at Mary’s will play a part in the festivities holding a number of pottery workshops.
We’ll be exhibiting Janet Selby’s Tree of Life sculptures during the month of February with a unique meditation and clay workshop to follow.
